New York Oxford University Press, 1979. F First Edition. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall, Hardcover, Hard Cover, with dustjacket, Fair/Fair. Signed copy in rough condition. Collected essays and other writings by this important American architect and winner of the 1978 Gold Medal of the American Institute of Architects [AIA], with a personalized inscription signed by the architect, dated 23 June 1979, on the half-title. The book is divided into four main subject areas: Where Are We At?; On the Art of Architecture; On the Great Architects; and On His Own Work. White cloth with red spine lettering, 292 pages, translucent dustjacket with red lettering. Little external wear, light soil to covers, good hinges, sound text block. The main issue is that the book has gotten wet at some point in the past and there are dampstains and mildew marks in the top margins of almost all the pages throughout the book, including the signed half- title, but not the inscription itself. The maximum depth of the marks is about 1.25", with text barely affected on a few pages, not affected at all on most, and some pages totally unmarked. The dustjacket is also affected at the top edges, with some foxing and light soil to the balance of the surface. Mild and far from overwhelming musty odor.
