A superb look at Britain in the Eleventh Century, showing even then the dominance of the towns that are today's major citiies. Beautifully-decorated front cover showing part of an illuminated illustration from the Canterbury psalter. Very Good.

A superb and evocative memory of the times when Britain's railway companies were also publishers, this is an excellent guide to UK cathedrals. Illustrated with coloured plates of crests, 74 full-page photographs and 74 drawings. Foxed and shelf-aged on edges, otherwise Very Good throughout in slightly worn and rubbed oversize card covers. Very Good.

The report on the conference jointly organised by the British Film Institute and National Council for Women in London in April 1946. It was not a delegate conference, and no resolutions were passed, but this includes some of the information and differing opinions offered by a wide range of speakers. Lightly tanned on edges, otherwise Very Good throughout in original blue wraps. Very Good.

The Weekly Illustrated souvenir of the Coronation of King George VI on May 12 1937 at Westminster Abbey. Includes full details of the procession and service, the royal descent, the regalia etc. Includes a full-page colour photograph of the Crown on England with the Orb and Sceptre. Also includes photographs of the new king with his family - his wife Queen Elizabeth, later to become The Queen Mother, and the Princesses Elizabeth and Margaret. A charming and historic souvenir, with a few original advertisements as a bonus. Very good throughout in slightly curled covers, staples rusting, centre form loose but complete. Very Good.

Comes from the Treasure Series of Children's Story books. 30pp. Coloured frontispiece, bright and clean, by the illustrator Freda M Baker- who has also made 12 line drawings for another story. Stories by various authors including Charlotte Druitt Cole and P. Radwon. Coloured cover - clean and bright- by M Holt. Some edge-wear to boards and some tanning to edges of pages. Binding is a tad loose but still firm. 'This book belongs to' coloured in by previous child owner. Scarce vintage item. Good/No Jacket.
