Among the many architects whose work is shown are Van de Velde, Van Leuven, Castermans, Pirenne, Massenhove, Chambon, Eggerickx, Courtenay, Vierin, Dumont, Seeldrayers, Picquet, Tondeur, et al. A collection of altogether 38 original photographic prints (25 prints measuring approx. 6 1/2" x 9"; 9 prints approx. 5" x 7"; 4 smaller) showing architectural details and interior decor of the famous building in Weimar, originally built in the 17th century, after extensive renovations undertaken under the direction of Giesler, one of Hitler's most trusted architects, including general views of the building, common rooms including a dining room, conference rooms, and hallways, numerous guest rooms, furnishings, lighting, etc., the larger photographs with the official stamp of the photographic firm Kohl/ Otte Possneck on versos, the smaller photographs unidentified. Photographs loose, housed in plastic case. N.p. (Wiemar), n.d. (ca. 1938-1939). A substantial photo archive and documentation of the renovation of a hotel that attracted notable personalities through the centuries, ranging from Liszt and Wagner to Bauhaus artists in the 1920's, and was immortalized by Thomas Mann in his novel "Lotte in Weimar"; Hitler stayed there after the renovation.
