Arthur Price Malleable Iron and Gun Metal Plane Makers No date, but probably 1920's from pricing and style. Single page leaflet, printed one-side only. 'All Types of Planes for the Woodworking Industry'. Leaflet advertising Shoulder Planes, Bull-nose Planes, and castings (including the iron) for both types. Price's planes were supplied in malleable iron and gun metal, steel face, fitted with rosewood infill and wedges. The shoulder planes were advertised in 4 sizes from 3/8" to 1 �"; the bull-nose being in 1 1/8" and 1 �". Styles were very much in the Norris and Spiers tradition, examples of the planes are now not easily found. Hand coloured map, segmented into 6 sections, mounted on linen, and bound in original neat cloth binding. Inside front cover, pasted to the endpaper are the details of the range of maps available in the series and colour coding - mail roads coloured blue, coach roads brown, and county divisions red. Title page and introduction, 44 catalogue pages, each item illustrated with a black and white photograph, some enameled or gilded items highlighted with colour. Presents a wide range of Green's manufactured items in hall marked sterling silver, best electro-plate on nickel silver, and reproductions of old Sheffield Plate (silver plate on copper), including toilet sets for ladies and men, christening presents, lead crystal, silver mounted scent sprayers, engine-turned and gilt decorated 'flapjacks' (apparently a compact designed to carry loose powder), cigar and cigarette accessories, services for tea and coffee, and for serving fruit, trays, condiment sets and tableware, pens and pencils, sports trophies, flasks, tankards, nickel silver holders for Pyrex casserole dishes, cocktail shakers and accessories. The catalogue is presented as loose-leaves securely held in a proprietary illustrated card folder.
