London, 1650, Sheet Map Near Fine. c. 500mm x 62mm Copper plate engraving, with bright original colour, title panel just right of the centre top, armorials to top corners, and its most distinctive feature, the pyramid of armorials bottom left which includes John of Gaunt, Simon de Montfort and Robert Dudley, there is further decoration and a scale showing English and German miles bottom right. This is a very nice example with bright colours, good lines, and a nice clear plate mark. The margins are wide and straight and the sheets edges are very good indeed, with one v. small nick at the top. Dutch text retained on the verso side, covering four pages. Te best example I've seen.
