Brief humorous account finely printed of this hunting and fishing club with by-laws and roster of members first organized in 1908 at Bova's restaurant in Boston after an outing to Damariscotta Maine. The three members were Travers D. Carman whose card is affixed to the first leaf William E. Hall and Allen H. Wood. Carman worked for The Outlook and was apparently friendly enough with another keen sportsman Theodore Roosevelt to accompany him to the 1912 Republican convention. <br/>The history of the club is told in six "Gasps" recounting the convivial circumstances under which the club was formed. A spectacular account of travel through Siberia toward the sources of the Yenisei river across northwestern Mongolia and over the Tian-Shan into Chinese Turkestan to Kashgar<br/><br/>An extremely scarce engrossing account of this little travelled area which the author and his party traversed surveyed and mapped during 1910 and 1911 taking numerous photographs a number included as folding panoramas. In addition to anthropological and geographical accounts of the region chapters deal with big game hunting notably the huge big-horn sheep ovis ammon of which it is noted "no other beast for its size carries such a weight of horn".
