‎ÉDITION ORIGINALE, rare. Tirage limité à 503 EXEMPLAIRES. UN des 450 imprimés sur papier Chamonix. «Il appartenait à ce savoyard, né en Dauphiné, arrivé à Toulouse à dix-neuf ans pour y étudier la médecine, de jouer un rôle de premier plan d'animation de l'exploration des parois pyrénéennes. Les camps d'Arlaud ponctuèrent une vie très active de montagnard prosélyte de l'alpinisme et à finalité éducative. Prenant ses distances vis-à-vis du Club Alpin Français, il fonde en 1920 le Groupe des Jeunes. Il participe comme médecin à l'expédition française au Karakoram en 1936. Il se tue sur la crête des Gourgs-Blancs en 1938 où une croix et une plaque rappellent sa mémoire. Ses 28 carnets manuscrits (1913-1933) ont été acquis en 1976 par le Musée Pyrénéen de Lourdes. » (Dendaletche). BON EXEMPLAIRE broché.
