Very Good Turkish Original typescript document with manuscript autograph writings and signature by Lütfi Kirdar (as Governor of Istanbul Lütfi Kirdar). 27,5x17,5 cm. Sent to Mustafa Kunur, who was 'Nahiye Müdür' of Kemerburgaz (district of Istanbul). In Turkish (modern Turkish with Latin script). 1 p. Including a celebration on Kunur's logistics services for the army. Lütfi Kirdar was born in 1887 in Kirkuk. He comes from a rooted and a well-known family 'Kirdarzâdes' of Kirkuk. After completing his primary and secondary education in Kirkuk and high school education in Baghdad, he came to Istanbul in 1908 and entered the Faculty of Medicine. After the Balkan War, Kirdar joined the war voluntarily and after the war he graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the Darülfünûn -i.e. IIstanbul Üniversitesi- (1917). With the outbreak of World War I, he joined the army. Kirdar who was participating in the National Struggle, received the Independence War Medal. After the War of Independence, in 1923, he specialized in eye diseases in Vienna and Munich. He returned to Turkey in 1924 and was appointed to the Directorate of Izmir Health. At his own request, he was appointed to the eye clinic of Izmir Memleket Hospital in 1933. In 1935 he became a member of parliament from Kütahya. In 1936, Manisa was appointed as mayor and after that in 1938, to Istanbul. He held this last post for 12 years. Istanbul Harbiye Sports and Exhibition Palace, Open-Air Theater, Inonu Stadium in Dolmabahce, Taksim Square, Taksim Excursion and Ataturk Boulevard were held during his period. In 1940, the Taksim Barracks was demolished. He was arrested on May 27th. He died of a heart attack on 17 February 1961 in Yassiada where he was tried. He was buried in Zincirlikuyu Cemetery after an funeral on 19 February 1961.

Very Good Turkish, Ottoman (1500-1928) Original autograph letter signed as 'Lütfullah' sent to Vasfi Riza Zobu. 1 p. In Ottoman script. No letterhead. It starts as 'Aziz agabeyimiz Vasfi bey' [= Our beloved brother]. Dated February 17, 1946. Lütfullah Sururi, one of the first artists who contributed to the current level in the coming opera in Turkey. He is one of the first operetta tenors after Cemal Sahir. They performed many times together with his wife Suzan Lütfullah (the first Turkish and Muslim primadonna). He is one of the founders of the Public Operetta and Süreyya Opera House. He was the director of Istanbul Theaters until his death after his wife's death. He joined the Muhlis's Operette Ensemble (Muhlis Sabahattin Operetta Community) and took on the 'Jeune' roles, he sang tenor songs on the stage for many years. Vasfi Riza Zobu, (1902-1992), was born on December 5, 1902, in Constantinople, Ottoman Empire. He was an actor, known for Tosun Pasha (1939), Karim Beni Aldatirsa (1933) and Milyon Avcilari (1934). He died on November 23, 1992, in Istanbul, Turkey. Extremely rare.

Dated November, 24, 1906 [AH 1322]. Signed as 'Erzurum müftîsi' [i.e. The cleric of Erzurum]. Lütfullah Vehbi Efendi was born in 1850 [AH 1266] in Erzurum. He was an Arabic teacher at the Military School of Erzurum in 1878, and he was the müftü [i.e. cleric] of Erzurum in 1897. After his retirement, he was a deputy of Erzurum city in he Osmanli Meclis-i Mebûsân [i.e. Ottoman parliamentary]. He is famous with his annotation to 'Cilâu'r-Ruh' by Molla Abdurrahman Camî, titled 'Feyzü's-sünûh'.

Une mention manuscrite au premier plat indique "Miscellanea" (Mélanges) et une autre indication manuscrite au début du dernier tiers précise : "Pièces choisies en vers français de differens Autheurs Receuillies par moy M. J. D. N". Le manuscrit s'ouvre sur quelques notes relatives aux auteurs antiques, mêlées de quelques notes comptables, puis devient un recueil de pièces d'auteurs français, pour la très grande majorité contemporains de la rédaction du manuscrit. Le recueil est sans doute mêlée de quelques pièces originales. Il se termine sur l'inventaire d'une bibliothèque (manifestement celle du rédacteur), contenant 42 titres au format in-folio, et près de 150 titres différents aux formats in-8 ou in-12. La reliure est un peu usagée et le vélin de remploi de la reliure ne recouvre pas le cartonnage en coupe dans la longueur, mais cela reste un très agréable document d'époque. Français

Il presente studio si colloca all?interno di un complesso di ricerche che negli ultimi quaranta anni hanno affrontato la cultura grafica e la complessiva eredita culturale diumanisti della cerchia laurenziana, quali Angelo Poliziano, Marsilio Ficino, Bartolomeo Fonzio (libri appartenenti alla loro biblioteca, talora autografi oppure realizzati da copisti di fiducia, ma anche materiali di lavoro della piu varia natura, quali appunti, schedature, commenti inediti, traditi da fascicoli autografi, talora oggetto di plurime, successive sistemazioni in forma di volume). Il lavoro ha per oggetto la ricostruzione della biblioteca di Pietro Crinito (1474-1507), lo studio della sua cultura grafica e un catalogo dettagliato di tutti i libri che gli appartennero. In assenza di inventari e disposizioni testamentarie, la raccolta libraria del Crinito e stata ricostruita attraverso un sistematico spoglio della bibliografia di riferimento, ma anche attraverso controlli diretti dei singoli fondi delle principali biblioteche in cui sono giunti materiali dell?umanista fiorentino. La ricerca ha portato al reperimento di 34 volumi di proprieta del Crinito per un totale di 64 unita codicologiche. Particolare attenzione e stata dedicata ai manoscritti autografi del Crinito che, pur distribuiti in un arco di anni ridotto dal 1486 al 1500, permettono di delineare un quadro dell?evoluzione delle sue abitudini grafiche dagli anni della formazione scolastica all?eta matura. La ricerca individua l?evoluzione della scrittura e riconosce, a partire dal 1495, una svolta nelle scelte grafiche del Crinito che solo da questo momento, solo dopo lo studio degli autografi di Poliziano, adotta un modello di corsiva all?antica decisamente caratterizzato da forme di lettera e di legature di tradizione antiquaria.

Le manuscrit, issu de la bibliotheque ducale, fait allusion a des evenements qui se sont produits entre 1454 (date du recit du Banquet de Faisan de Lille et du "registre" des voeux prononces par le duc et les nobles) et 1463/64 (date de la Bulle de croisade de Pie II et de l'Epitre a la Maison de Bourgogne). Il a du etre etabli a ce moment, dans un contexte difficile, pour rassembler des arguments en faveur d'une croisade a laquelle Philippe le Bon etait sur le point de renoncer. Les voeux, en partie inedits, expriment un sentiment d'appartenance au monde bourguignon, une adhesion aux ideaux de l'Eglise, mais aussi une analyse realiste de la situation. Un index des "vouhans" eclaire la diversite de leurs personnalites et fait vivre un milieu. Loin d'etre consideres domme des "serments apres boire", ces voeux apparaissent, a la lumiere des textes ecclesiastiques, du poeme sur la mort qui clot le manuscrit, comme sinceres et reflechis.
