‎Albumblätter zusammen mit seiner Frau und Copilotin Anne Morrow Lindbergh sind sehr selten. - Die Lindberghs hatten 1936 die Olympiade in Berlin besucht. "On 11 October 1937, Lindbergh and his wife Anne flew on their second trip to Germany. It was an unofficial visit and Lindbergh met with no Third Reich officials, but he did visit airfields and factories in Bremen and Pomerania and once again was impressed with Luftwaffe technology and capabilities. A few months later, Lindbergh was invited to examine the air forces of Czechoslovakia and Russia, but was unimpressed in comparison to what he had seen in Germany. 'Germany now has the means of destroying London, Paris and Prague if she wishes to do so', Lindbergh said. 'I am convinced that it is wiser to permit Germany's eastward expansion than to throw England and France, unprepared, into a war at this time'. Although Lindbergh believed the German Luftwaffe was unstoppable in Europe, it is not clear to what degree he ever became a Nazi sympathizer per se. 'I was far from being in accord with the philosophy, policy, and actions of the Nazi government', he later wrote. Clearly, to him the Soviet Union and communism posed a much greater threat to Europe and 'Western Civilization' as he called it, and a strong Nazi Germany could protect Western Europe from the Russians." Baumeister Otto Lasne zur Einsichtnahme der Baupläne von Haus No. 10 der Nymphenburger Sraße bei [...] Baucommißion München." - Lingg litt lebenslang unter den psychischen Folgen seiner Armeezeit: Als Arzt hatte er in der Bayerischen Armee gegen seine Überzeugung an der Niederschlagung der Aufstände in Baden teilnehmen müssen, verfiel danach in Depressionen und Wahnvorstellungen und wurde in der Heilanstalt Winnethal bis bis 1850 behandelt. Von König Max II. finanziell unterstützt, widmete er sich danach in München der Literatur, schloss Bekanntschaft mit Emanuel Geibel, der ihn in den Münchner Dichterkreis Die Krokodile einführte. Sein Hauptnachlass befindet sich in der Bayerischen Staatsbibliothek München.‎

‎An eine Dame mit Dank für die Zusendung einer Kritik aus dem Leipziger Fremdenblatt und mit dem Bedauern, sie in München nicht getroffen zu haben sowie mit Dank für ein Gedicht: "[...] Wenn Herr Buchholz den zweiten Band meiner Gedichte herunterzusetzen bemüht ist, so hat er sehr unrecht und wird mir nur wenig schaden können, verständige und hochgebildete Männer von nicht geringerem Scharfsinn als Herr Buchholz besitzen mag, haben sich ganz anders ausgesprochen und stellen in vieler Beziehung den zweiten Band über den ersten [...] Herrn 'Hofrath' [Rudolf] Gottschalk betreffend, so hat dieser Herr auch an meiner Völkerwanderung [1866-68] den Todtengräber zu machen versucht, die Völkerw. ist aber immer wieder von den Todten auferstanden [...]" - Lingg stammte aus Lindau, wo er durch eine Straße und einen Brunnen geehrt wird.‎
