Grandon story by Harold McGrath and written by Gilson Willets. Starring: Kathlyn Williams; Charles Clary; William Carpenter; Lafe McKee; Tom Santschi; Goldie Colwell; Franklin Hall; Effie Sackville; Roy Watson; Charles Courtwright; Charles Murphy; Harry Huckins; Edmund Cobb; Edwin Wallock and Hirri Tsingh. This was a ten reel re-edited version of a twenty-seven reel serial whose first part was released on December 29 1913. Jim Backus was a veteran of stage vaudeville radio film and television - the medium in which he is best remembered for being the voice of the cartoon character Mr. Magoo and for his portrayal of Mr. Howell on Gilligan’s Island as well as for his work on the popular series I Married Joan and The Jim Backus Show. His wife Henny Henriette Kay co-starred with him on the television series Blondie and co-wrote with him Rocks on the Roof What Are You Doing After the Orgy and Only When I Laugh.
