Book is clean tight squared up with frontispiece & prints art deco duotone. The translation of 1566 by H.G. put into modern English with an introduction by Thomas Bell. In 1346 Boccaccio was 23 and met Maria d'Aquino daughter of King Robert of Naples at Convent Sant'Arcangelo a Baiano of whom was his obsessed source of joy & pain and under whose influence he produced his greatest literary works as Fiammetta of the Decameron.
