(Lipsia, 1711), edizione originale di questa bibliografia di storia ecclesiastica scritta da Thomas Ittig (Lipsia, 1643-1710), teologo, pastore e professore di teologia nella sua citta' natale. L'opera fu pubblica postuma a cura di Cristiano Ludovici, teologo luterano, cognato di Ittig. La terza e' Gottfried Buchner, Schediasma Historico-literarium de vitiorum inter eruditos (Lipsia, 1718). Buchner e' stato il primo a raccogliere una bibliografia sui vizi degli eruditi. Nel trattato l'A. identifica prima i vizi degli eruditi in generale e poi i vizi specificatamente riferiti a certi tipi di studi (storia, filosofia, critica, astrologia). Distingue tra i vizi dell'intelletto e quelli della volonta'. I primi nascono quando l'intelletto non lavora in modo corretto e la mente umana ha delle difficolta' a riconoscere le cose e a giungere a conclusioni che permettano di distinguere il vero dal falso e il bene dal male. I vizi dell'intelletto includono: errori e pregiudizi. Il pregiudizio e' un terreno fertile per tutti i vizi dell'intelletto come un'eccessiva dipendenza dall'antichita' e il desiderio di novita' (prajiudicium antiquitatis et novitatis), il desiderio di scrivere (pruritus scribendi), cattivo gusto (corruptio sensus), stupidita' (stultitia), pedanteria (pedantismus), la cavillosita' (logomachia), e lo scetticismo (scepticismus). Per Buchner i vizi della volonta' che gli uomini istruiti condividono con gli incolti sono: avarizia, ambizione, piacere, invidia, cattive maniere e ateismo. I vizi esclusivi degli eruditi sono: il plagio, le falsificazioni e i furti letterari, la mancanza di autocontrollo quando si e' coinvolti in polemiche e diatribe scientifiche e modi non leciti di acquisire fama e successo.
