L'elegantissime Stanze di Messer Angelo Poliziano Ridotte ora col riscontro di varie antiche Edizioni alla loro vera lezione; colla giunta dell'Orfeo, e di altre cose volgari del medesimo Autore non più stampate.
In 8° (cm 12,7 x 20,2), legatura mezza pelle ottocentesca con titoli e fregi in oro al dorso, pp (8), xlviii, 92, frontespizio calcografico, (contadino scava fra le rovine), grande iniziale e testatina incise in rame; esemplare in buone condizioni, parzialmente in barbe, etichetta di biblioteca privata al fondo del dorso, ex libris alla sguardia, timbretti alla sguardia e al frontespizio. Deliziosa edizione cominiana (prima edizione 1728 secondo il Gamba, noi abbiamo trovato censiti nelle biblioteche solo esemplari dal 1751) della miglior poesia del Poliziano (1454-1494), i suoi capolavori: le "Stanze" composte tra il 1475 e il '78, in occasione della Giostra in cui trionfò Giuliano de' Medici, incompiute per la morte di G. ucciso nella congiura antimedicea dei Pazzi, celebrazione dell'amore, della Natura, della giovinezza serena; l'"Orfeo" fu composto nel 1480, in due giorni, in occasione delle nozze tra Francesco Gonzaga e Isabella d'Este. Precede il testo la Vita dell'A. di Piero Antonio Serassi, nonchè il Catalogo delle principali edizioni delle Stanze, Avvertimenti dello stampatore al Lettore con la cronologia delle precedenti edizioni cominiane delle "Stanze", e l'enumerazione delle aggiunte con cui si è arricchita la presente edizione.
