Oblong 32mo an extremely good fresh copy in full rich chestnut morocco by Bumpus with gilt tooling of flowers leaves stars and centrepiece of roses plus gilt lettering on the spine top edge gilt others uncut gilt trefoils on turnins. Corners slightly bumped with a little shelf wear to bottom edge mild offset from turn-ins and a tiny tear on the ffep otherwise a really charming book.Rossetti’s ‘Blessed Damozel’ first appeared in the second number of ‘The Germ’ in 1850 and was particularly admired by Ricketts.
