Based on the short story by Hagar Wilde which originally appeared in Collier's Weekly magazine on April 10 1937.<br /> <br /> Zoologist David Huxley Grant develops a wary interest in the niece of dowager Mrs. Carelton Random Hepburn which as in all great screwball comedies is not finalized as a romance until about the last ten seconds of the film. But what makes this film singular is that the story is built around the maintenance aspects of raising a pet leopard creating a rapid-fire blur of events and dialogue that doesn't let up for the entire 102-minute running time. The film bombed upon release causing RKO to drop both of the stars but today ranks as one of the best films made by either. <br /> <br /> 8 x 10 inches.
