The first of Byron's two Venetian plays a well-documented historical drama about the Doge who turned traitor to the Venetian Republic. Published along with his poem based on Dante's exile and death in Ravenna. Octavo. In a period full green morocco binding with elaborate gilt stamping eight raised bands ornamental dentelles cream endpapers and a ribbon marker. The half-titles are present missing the terminal advertisement. Period ink inscription and date 1833 to the verso of the front flyleaf.
