First edition in book form with all the internal typographical "flaws" described by Smith. This copy is in Carter's binding C publisher's remainder binding which he describes as "the familiar rather dowdy binding of most of the single volume Dickens reprints" and "the rarest of the three" bindings found on DROOD.
