Maynard with their name in holograph ink on the half-title page and containing 88 tipped in Polaroid photographs throughout detailing cast hairstyles in particular scenes including numerous images of stars Joan Allen and Dominique Swain. The second and most highly regarded of the six films legendary Hong Kong action director John Woo made in Hollywood and perhaps the purest distillation of his wildly over-the-top neo-noir aesthetic ever put to celluloid with a premise so gloriously nuts that one wonders how it ever was greenlit in the first place. Answer: it was the 1990s. John Travolta plays FBI agent Sean Archer who undergoes a face transplant to look like terrorist Castor Troy in order to infiltrate Troy's gang and discover the location of a bomb. Meanwhile Nicholas Cage plays terrorist Castor Troy who awaking to find out his face has been removed and placed on FBI agent Sean Archer forces the doctors to transplant Archer's face onto his in order to get his revenge. Archer now played by Cage must not only find the bomb but also track down Troy now played by Travolta before he kills his family. Guns are drawn explosions are walked away from scenery is chewed speedboats fly into midair and flocks of doves take flight. Nominated for an Academy Award. Original 100pp Screenplay dated February 26 1931 for the first "talkie" adaptation of Mrs. Wood's famous Victorian mystery novel about infidelity and double identities which sold over a million copies before 1900 making it the greatest best seller in England's 19th Century. This is the Final Draft of the shooting script without annotations of any kind other than the production numbers written in colored pencil on the front cover. As was occasionally the custom of the early pre-code 1930s this script is labeled "Screen Continuity" but this is not a post-production script this is the actual screenplay in normal screenplay format. EAST LYNNE was directed by Frank Lloyd "Cavalcade" "Mutiny On The Bounty" and written by Tom Berry & Bradley King King was one of the earliest female screenwriters with 60 film credits. The pages of the screenplay are in Fine condition the covers which are larger than the pages and thus prone to creases and bends show the wear you'd expect from a working script. There is only one existing copy of the film print which is not in very good condition thus not available for home video all the more unfortunate as this "lost" film of EAST LYNNE starring Ann Harding and Clive Brook was one of five Oscar nominees for Best Picture of 1932. . Title page has Landau's name ornately illustrated at top margin followed by credits for Allen working title and cast all in holograph marker with "Release Title: Oct 13th 1989 'Crimes and Misdemeanors'" below in holograph ink all in Landau's hand. Script contains copious annotations of strikes character motivations and dialogue changes on nearly every page of dialogue or action of Landau's character Judah. Following script is a six page cast list annotated in holograph pencil.<br/><br/>Laid in are 32 pages of script revisions six of which contain annotations striking scenes dating when scenes were shot as well as character motivations by Landau in holograph ink. <br/><br/>Also laid in is Landau's contract with Untitled Productions for "Woody Allen Fall Project 1988" signed and dated March 3 1989 by Landau in holograph ink with a cover sheet dated March 1 1989 signed by associate producer Helen Robin. Collection of 6 vintage black-and-white still photographs from the 1969 Broadway play written by and starring Woody Allen as well as Allen's first production with a young Diane Keaton. Each photo with a mimeograph snipe on the verso crediting photographer Leo Stern and the Sabinson Agency along with a credits blurb. <br/><br/>"Play It Again Sam" was the third play by Woody Allen to be staged on Broadway following "From A to Z" in 1960 and "Don't Drink the Water" in 1966. It was also the first-and last-play in which he would star choosing to permanently invest his persona in his own films. The play was notable too as the debut of Diane Keaton featured in one of the photos here who would reprise her role in the 1972 film version and go on to be Allen's most famous muse. <br/><br/>The play opened at the Broadhurst Theatre on February 12 1969 and ran for a healthy 453 performances closing on March 14 1970. About a year later Bananas directed by and starring Allen would be released featuring the screen debut of Woody Allen's "Allan Felix" persona developed for this play one whose variations would grace innumerable films for decades to come. <br/><br/>8 x 10 inches.
