Night Heat Cette nuit la Collection of 71 original keybook contact sheets from the 1958 film
Paris: Cinedis 1958. Collection of 71 vintage single weight keybook contact sheets amounting to over 800 numbered images from the 1958 French film. Much of the film is represented in minute detail along with test shots set design shots and many candid moments from the set. Dramatic high-contrast images of starring actors Demongeot answering telephones and in heated embraces with several sheets capturing a formal dinner with the cast and crew presumably the film's premiere. Most with 12 images per sheet a few with 6-frame strips of 35mm film each image with a series number and all sheets credit at the top the photo laboratory Tele-Photo film studio Cinedis film title and photographer Apoteker. Housed in a red paper 2-ring binder with French titles printed on the front. Several with brief numerical annotations on the verso. Noirish crime thriller based on Michel Lebrun's novel "Un Silence de Mort" 1957 starring Demongeot as Sylvie married to Jean Ronet an executive at a fashion magazine. Jean's boss André Servais obsesses over Sylvie whose demure femininity can be fatal. An early film credit for still photographer Paul Apoteker whose "Too Late for Love" 1959 is regarded as his first credited film. His dramatic execution would later be seen in Clouzot's "The Truth" 1960 Sautet's romance noir "Classe Tous Risques" 1960 and Woody Allen's "Love and Death" 1975. Demongeot and Ronet are amply represented throughout the collection including a preliminary mockup of the poster art. Tarzan and His Mate Original screenplay for the 1934 film
Beverly Hills CA: Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer MGM 1933. Draft script for the 1934 film. The second Tarzan film to star Johnny Weissmuller with Jane famously portrayed by Maureen O'Sullivan. <br/><br/>One of the best Tarzan films and a landmark film in the history of film censorship. A big budget followup to MGM's first Tarzan film "Tarzan and His Mate" featured a lengthy balletic swimming scene between Tarzan and a nude Jane with Olympic swimmer Josephine McKim doubling for Maureen O'Sullivan one of the first completely nude scenes in a Hollywood film. The scene along with the occasionally breast and buttocks revealing costume worn by O'Sullivan in other scenes ran afoul of newly appointed Production Code Administration head Joseph Breen who was determined to more strictly enforce decency standards than his predecessor the Code's namesake Will Hays. <br/><br/>The film was censored and changes were ordered by Breen. MGM appealed the decision to the Association of Motion Picture Producers but despite the vigorous objections by Louis B. Mayer and Irving Thalberg it became the first film to lose such an appeal. In total eleven minutes were cut from the film including the swimming scene making it one of the first films affected by the new more censorious PCA and one that sits clearly on the line demarcating the pre-Code and Code Enforcement eras. <br/><br/>In 1986 Ted Turner had the film restored to its original 116 minute version and it is that version that is available for home viewing today. <br/><br/>A story set in Africa shot on location in Silver Springs Florida and various locations in California. <br/><br/>Pale blue titled wrappers rubber-stamped production No. 1921 and VAULT COPY dated July 8 1933. Alice or the Last Escapade Alice ou la derniere fugue Two photographs from the set of the 1977 film
France: Filmel 1986. Two photographs for airings of the 1977 film on French public television channel France 3. The first photograph for a September 6 1978 airing is borderless and shows director Chabrol and star Kristel in between takes with the stamp of photographer Robert Cohen and a mimeo snipe on the verso. The second photograph for an October 2 1986 airing is of a topless Sylvia Kristel with a mimeo snipe on the verso. Chabrol riffs on both "Alice in Wonderland" and the popular 1970s horror mini-genre where a beautiful young woman becomes trapped through supernatural means in a house after seeking shelter there. In this case it's "Emmanuelle" star Sylvia Kristel whose car breaks down in the middle of the night after she walks out on her husband and Chabrol is more interested in her journey toward emancipation than actual horror. Both photographs 7 x 5 inches. Fine. Filmel unknown

Jason and the Argonauts Post-production screenplay for the 1963 film
London: Morningside Worldwide Pictures 1975. Early Revised Draft script for the 1963 British-American film dated two years prior to its release. First generation reproduction likely made for educational purposes circa early-mid 1970s evidenced by the use of a photocopy process not employed in the UK until the early 1970s. The script's vintage is also evidenced by the postal code on the front wrapper which includes an "outward code" a system not introduced in the UK until 1967 and not put into widespread use until the 1970s. Not being offered as a vintage item but strictly as the content of the complete script. Jason Armstrong rightful heir to the throne of Thessaly is spared from death through the intervention of the goddess Hera Honor Blackman who then helps Jason in his search for the Golden Fleece. Obstacles along his path include a giant statue screeching harpies huge rocks the seven-headed hydra and an army of skeletons with a nod from Sam Raimi in his 1992 cult classic "Army of Darkness". Associate producer and special effect legend Ray Harryhausen provided all the great effects here generally considered even by Harryhausen himself to be his greatest effort. Shot on location in Italy. Cream wrappers with paper title label. Title page present dated aug. 6th 1961 with credits for screenwriters Read Cross and Ray Bowers uncredited upon the film's release. 145 leaves with last page of text numbered 152. Pete's Dragon Collection of 8 original photographs from the 1977 film
Burbank CA: Walt Disney Productions 1977. Collection of 8 studio still photographs from the 1977 film. A young orphan raised by his dysfunctional hillbilly family befriends a goofy dragon in this live-action animated musical. It was the first animated Disney film in which none of the legendary "nine old men" were involved in the animation process. Ken Anderson created the beloved dragon loosely modeling him after historical Asian imagery. Upon release the film was criticized for its composite animation and underdeveloped plot.
