‎Insegnare i «phonics». Manuale glottodidattico della lingua inglese per la scuola primaria‎

Nel nostro Paese l'insegnamento della lingua inglese è introdotto già a partire dalla scuola dell'infanzia; nonostante ciò, la competenza raggiunta dagli studenti italiani nella lingua straniera (LS) è mediamente inferiore a quella dei loro coetanei di altre nazioni. In particolare, si nota una diffusa tendenza a pronunciare e leggere erroneamente molte parole che vengono rimodulate con i fonemi e la cadenza dell'italiano; tale propensione va ricondotta alla mancanza di un insegnamento esplicito, sistematico e precoce degli aspetti fonemici e grafemici dell'inglese nelle fasi iniziali dell'apprendimento. L'acquisizione degli aspetti fonologici e ortografici di una lingua opaca come l'inglese non può essere intuitiva e deduttiva. Il presente volume propone dunque una didattica alternativa per la scuola primaria che ingloba la metodologia di alfabetizzazione nota nei Paesi anglosassoni come phonics: si tratta di insegnare in modo diretto i quarantaquattro fonemi della lingua inglese e le oltre settanta corrispondenze grafemiche. Fornendo ai bambini questi 'mattoncini' basilari, si favorirà lo sviluppo di quelle competenze fonologiche e metacognitive necessarie per interpretare il codice in modo autonomo, senza doversi affidare alla mera memorizzazione. La pubblicazione è rivolta a docenti della scuola primaria, a studenti di Scienze della formazione e in generale a chiunque si occupi dell'insegnamento della lingua inglese come LS nel contesto italiano. Essa include una parte teorica sui fonemi e sulle corrispondenze tra fonemi e grafemi e analizza gli approcci didattici utilizzati per insegnare i phonics. Dall'esperienza di un progetto di ricerca pluriennale si riportano infine alcune proposte di programmazione e attività per una didattica creativa e interattiva dell'inglese nella scuola primaria italiana.‎

‎Einband etwas berieben. - bsv 2022 3. - Der folgende Text ist die Bearbeitung eines französisch verfaßten Berichtes über die Produktion der »Arbeitsgruppe Strukturelle Grammatik« in Berlin (DDR), der als Teil einer Darstellung der Forschung im Rahmen der generativen Transformationsgrammatik im deutschsprachigen Bereich konzipiert wurde: Obwohl die Verfasser dieses Berichtes den Einfluß der Arbeitsgruppe auf alle im Rahmen dieser Theorie arbeitenden Forscher (auch außerhalb der DDR) einzuschätzen wußten, mußten sie sich aus technischen Gründen mit einer begrenzten Seitenzahl zufrieden geben, so daß der Text recht kompakt wurde. Ich hielt es für nützlich, diese Informationen nicht nur ins Deutsche zu übersetzen, sondern auch ein wenig leichter zugänglich zu machen, etwa für Leser, die zwar die Grundannahmen der generativen Grammatik kennen, mit den wissenschaftlichen Diskussionen der letzten zehn Jahre aber noch nicht vertraut sind und sich vielleicht manchmal fragen, welche Arbeiten aus der heute sehr umfangreich und teilweise schwierig, nicht über den Buchhandel erhältlichen Literatur sie zu einem bestimmten Problem lesen könnten. Mein Ziel war dabei, nicht nur eine Orientierung über die Produktion der ASG zu erleichtern, sondern überhaupt den Leser einschätzen zu lassen, was er sich aus der Lektüre der Berliner Arbeiten versprechen kann: Wohl weniger eine Gesamtgrammatik des Deutschen als einen Beitrag zu einer Vielzahl heute diskutierter linguistischer Probleme. Ich habe nicht nur den ursprünglichen (französischen) Bericht ausführlicher formuliert, ich habe ihn auch an einer Stelle ergänzt: § 6 zur Textgrammatik habe ich neu verfaßt, weil die Verfasser der französischen Version sich mit einem Hinweis auf einen speziellen Aufsatz zu dieser Problematik im selben Band3 begnügen konnten. Ich trage allein die Verantwortung für diese deutsche Fassung, besonders sofern sie von der französischen abweicht. Weil der Bericht nicht so konzipiert ist, daß der Reihe nach die einzelnen Arbeiten besprochen werden, und damit der Leser erfährt, wo entsprechende Informationen zu finden sind, habe ich im Anhang eine Liste veröffentlichter Rezensionen der Berliner Arbeiten (hauptsächlich der Studia-Grammatica- Bände) erstellt.
