First appearance of 3 of the poems. From the library of Lt Col Alfred Garnet Cuthbert Keeson OBE MC served in the 9th London Regiment during the Great War winning an MC in September 1918. He became Commanding Officer of the Queen Victoria Rifles from 1934 to 1938. The Second World War saw him serving on the Staff as a Brigade Major for 71st Infantry and being made an OBE. He died in 1968. Book is very good and bright. Spine a little lightened. Contents good. The wrapper is very good and bright. Edges rubbed and nicked. Small chip to rear corner. Kipling's semi-autobiographical story concerning grief and ghost children with beautiful illustrations by Frederick Henry Townsend 1868-1920 the first Art Editor of Punch Magazine. This work was first published in Scribner"s Magazine for August 1904 and collected in Traffics and Discoveries in the same year. This is the first edition to be published separately. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally smart though the spine and upper extremities to the front board are slightly darkened. Internally firmly bound.
