There is light bumping from shelving on the spine ends and a small ding on the upper front edge. The interior is completely without marks or tears. Dust jacket is clean and bright price intact & unclipped. Spine is sunned and there is some edgewear and a couple of rather small edge tears that are internally mended. There are two faint pen marks on the front panel and a name neatly written on the inside front flap. Over the years he became the unofficial 'leader' of the colony's European community. He was famous for his tireless labours to establish a working agricultural economy in East Africa and was the undisputed but unofficial leader and spokesman for Kenyan settlers for 30 years.
