Ever yours very faithfully T.H. Huxley". Thomas H. Huxley 1825-1895 was a British educator biologist and advocate of elevating science to a higher place in society. He coined the word agnosticism and earned the nickname "Darwin's bulldog" for his earnest defense of Darwin's theory of evolution.
