Good-Very good/None. 1901 complete set reprinting of the legendary Frenchman's work in maroon cloth no dust jackets most likely as issued that are for the most part very good with the occasional bit of rubbing soil or other spots of wear with less than ten of the volumes showing more wear with occasional stain or moisture wear to cloth heavier soil to a handful of volumes some tearing at inner hinges of some volumes and some other mild wear including some uncut pages We'll call the set very good with more obvious wear to a few good to good volumes. Gilt decoration and lettering to covers and spine. Covers have some shelf wear especially to edges and leather. Spines have little to no fading but are worn and some may have cracks. Covers are detached from some volumes. Top edge gilt others rough cut. Endpapers are marbled to match covers. Interiors are clean and completely unmarked with surprisingly little yellowing for the age. Large multi volume set will require extra shipping and ship in multiple boxes. Multivolumes E. R. Frontispieces protected by tissue guards in 21 volumes. Volume 22 the Index has no frontispiece as issued. Volumes 2 17 18 19 20 and 21 show foxing to tissue guards and frontispieces. Full color title pages. Color frontispiece in volumes 2 46 9 and21. Very minor marginalia in a few volumes. Pages otherwise clean and unmarked.
