Previous owner's inscription on front endpaper. Text block is a bit loose on top and in the fold of a few pages but overall the book is tight. Interior is mostly clean with very minor occasional toning all tissue guards are intact and all tipped in illustrations are intact save one which is loose but present. Some pages have corner folds. There is a former owner's name on the front free end paper but no other marks or wear. The shiny gold covers are bright with light wear and rubs only at edges and corners. A very nice copy. The attached scan gives a general idea of condition but unfortunately it reproduces the attractive gold colour of the cover as a washy grey.
