London: Pan 1955. First UK Paperback Edition. Issued without a D/W. Pan 322. Mass Market Paperback. A VG copy. A square solid copy with partial colour fading from dark orange to a lighter hue to the spine but with no reading crease appears to be unread. There is some minor creasing to the top left hand corner of the back cover. Surprisingly uncommon. Orson Welles photo cover as Harry Lime. Harry Lime as realised on the screen by Orson Welles is one of the great characters in cinema and also one of the most tricky. He exerts a fascination on audiences despite the fact that in simple plot terms he's an outright villain. Pan paperback
