Beautifully figured tree calf. These three volumes represent the poetical works of John Dryden 1631-1700 and are numbered 40 41 and 42 on the spine gilt worn. Dryden was a poet and dramatist who dominated literary life in the latter half of the 17th century becoming Poet Laureate in 1670. A most attractive little set.
