Signed by Cammie King 1934-2010 who played Clark Gable’s and Vivien Leigh’s daughter Bonnie Blue Butler in the 1939 film classic produced by David O.Selznick. She has signed the book with both names. Cammie King ‘Bonnie Blue Butlerâ€. King was also the voice the character Faline in the Walt Disney’s 1942 animated film classic Bambi and was the step daughter of Dr. Herbert Kalmus who created the stunning color film process Technicolor which was used to film Gone With the Wind. Extensive finely printed 121 page catalogue book of the landmark exhibition of Gone With the Wind material existing in the David O. Selznick Archives. Contains numerous illustrations of important production material including some of the original costume designs reproduced in color. Most of the illustrations have never been reproduced before. Among some of the important documents reproduced are an original Margaret Mitchell letter to Selznick a fascinating memo to Selznick from F. Philadelphia: S. Augustus Mitchell 1834. Full period color 17 x 20 1/2 inches folding into gilt-stamped brown leather covers. Statistical table laid down on inside front cover. Five insets see below. Minor repairs. This is the second pocket map edition of D. H. Vance's map of New York State with the imprint of S. Augustus Mitchell. Mitchell had purchased the plate from Anthony Finley in 1831 removed Vance's name added a new border and included it in his edition of the A New American Atlas 1831. The map was first issued as a pocket map by Mitchell in 1832. With the 1832 edition Mitchell replaced the inset "Profile of the Erie Canal" with four insets: "Vicinity of Albany" "Vicinity of New York" "Vicinity of the Falls of Niagara" and "Vicinity of Rochester." With this 1834 edition the statistical table at right was replaced by an inset "Map of the Hudson River." Numerous new towns are present throughout and distances in miles along roads between towns have been added. New York's first railroads are also included for the first time. A desirable example of this Civil War-era atlas. Excellent original hand-coloring for all maps. This copy is complete with all 80 maps plus two additional maps not called for: “New Hampshire and Vermont†and “County Map of Massachusetts Connecticut and Rhode Island.†Among the more notable American maps are those detailing Texas California New Orleans the Indian Territory of future Oklahoma and plans of Baltimore and Washington DC. First edition of this charming insect adaptation of the 1001 Nights in which Fuz-Buz the fly buys himself time after being caught in Mother Grabem's web. Though best known for his contributions to neurology Silas Weir Mitchell also published children's books and poetry. As typical for this period this book was issued in late 1866 for the holiday market but 1867 is printed on the title page to extend its market relevance. According to the Bibliography of American Literature this state of the book is quite rare with all of the illustrations found in the large paper edition. 6.75'' x 5''. Original green publisher's cloth binding with gilt stamped designs. Full-page black-and-white frontispiece with eight full-page black-and-white plates. 79 1 pages. Bookplate of Nellie E. L. "I do not know of a single case where a person has been benefited by dealing with Mr. Hallett; whereas on the contrary it is my candid opinion that there is not a single case where Mr. Hallett has had any dealings to any extent with any person or persons but what they are the worst off; except in cases where he has co-operated with sharks for their mutual interest in the destruction of others." Donald Grant Mitchell 1822 - 1908 schreef het boek onder het pseudoniem Ik Marvel. De Nederlandse uitgever maakt op de titelpagina handig gebruik van de populariteit die Hasebroeks 'Waarheid en droomen' bezat. Many of these authors were gardeners or farmers or simply wrote on the subject in all its various branches. A very interesting work. Bound in 3/4 tan calf over marbled paper covered boards with matching endpapers all edge marbled rubbing to spine and joints just a bit of toning to page margins previous owner's name in pencil dated 1884. The official report of the Royal Commission chaired by Justice Roma Mitchell which found that South Australian Police Commissioner Harold Salisbury had misled the state government with regard to personal files maintained by 'Special Branch' and that his dismissal was justified and legal. Offered together with a copy of the report of Acting Justice White which prompted the dismissal 'Special Branch Security Records. Initial Report to the Honourable Donald Allan Dunstan Q.C. LL.B. M.P. Premier of the State of South Australia' South Australian Parliamentary Paper Number 145 of 1978; 82 pages; stapled as issued; some tanning and highlighting. <p>'For years questions had been raised as to whether some files kept by the Special Branch were political and sexual in nature. A January 1978 report found that they were. The crux of the matter was that Salisbury misled Dunstan twice about the files who in turn misled the parliament. Salisbury denied his accountability to the government and refused to resign. Dunstan's sacking of him was constitutionally justified though done so quickly that it sparked public outcry and demonstrations. A June 1978 royal commission report found that the dismissal was justifiable. While Dunstan was vindicated the criticism took a political and personal toll. When Mitchell was hurtling back to earth after walking on the moon in 1971 he had a profound sense that all things are interconnected and that the universe is an intelligent process with which we need to link up. We hear how Mitchell began a career as a fighter pilot in the years following WW II switched to NASA with the hope of being part of the new space program and came to know the legendary Wernher von Braun whom he believes was a true visionary rather than a Nazi opportunist. Mitchell tells how while returning to earth he carried out a private ESP experiment that seemed to yield positive results. Subsequently he founded the Institute of Noetic Sciences in order to test paranormal phenomena scientifically. He offers us a tour of Western thought from Aristotle to Newton arguing that intuition and science were divorced until the advent of Einstein and quantum physics. The framed certificate of appreciation is somewhat rippled and there is some fading to some of the signatures. . 8vo and framed artwork measuring 25 x 21 inches overall. Denoted in pencil "Copy #1" this was Assistant Director Eric Stacey's copy signed by David Selznick Director Victor Fleming and 28 members of the motion picture cast including Vivien Leign Clark Gable and Olivia de Havilland. Eric Stacey has added his ownership signature in pencil on the half-title. Accompanying the book is a framed gift presented to Eric Stacey "In appreciation for his cooperation and unfailing interest during the darker days of "Gone With the Wind." Created by Atlanta artist Jack Conner the signatures of 82 members of the motion motion picture production staff are surrounded by a decorative cartouche in colors featuring Aeolus the Keeper of the Winds as a pair of cherubs amid scrolls the sun moon and stars.
