Three typescripts plus paperback book. Typescripts: 8.5 x 11 inches. 25 pp. 25pp. and pp. 26-33. Three versions of the 'Angelo' story. The first typescript is an original typescript collated and stapled separately by chapters. Four sections; chapter 2 and the brief chapter 3 are stapled together. Pagination is continuous. There are five chapters total. The second copy is an original typescript on onion skin paper three-hole punched and stapled at the left margin. Page numbers and the letter 'a' appear at the bottom right corner; six chapters. Some edgewear and staining to this copy; last page is detached and the final page completing the last paragraph is lacking the version published by Monkey Publications contains a presumable ending. Third typescript is paginated pp. 26-33 and features a new D/S relationship between the cops. Of note: this version includes an Epilogue. First version begins: "The judge looked across his desk in his special chambers at the young Italian boy who stood before him." The second version begins: "The judge looked across his desk in his Special Chambers at the young Italian boy who stood before him." First version begins: "The two cops Bill and his buddy Gill went back to the stationhouse and reported the safe delivery of Angelo to the school." Formatting of the three difffers and there are stylistic differences between them; they conform to the same plot but one writer adds more description; the second runs an extra chapter; the third includes a previously unseen epilogue. The second version's extra chapter is present in the Monkey Publications book: ANGELO: New York: Monkey Publications 1969. 8vo. 48pp. Published from Don's Book Shop this gay pornographic novel occupies an interesting place in time - published the year of the Stonewall riots this mimeographed book rides on the cusp of the gay liberation movement and the repeal of censorship laws with the look and feel of the clandestine underground press. Story begins: 'The two policemen had gone across the street to a hamburger joint to kill the hour until they could pick up the kid and go to Harrison's place.' Text is identical to that published by Centaur Publications 1970. paperback
