Il fut acquit par le psychanalyste allemand et premier biographe de Sade qui édita la première édition papier en 1904 sous le pseudonyme de Eugène Dühren. Cette première version comporta de très nombreuse erreurs de transcription. En 1929, Maurice Heine, mandaté par les de Noailles racheta le manuscrit original et publie de 1931 à 1935, une édition limitée aux "Bibliophiles souscripteurs" pour éviter la censure. Cette édition est considérée comme seule originale. Après de multiples aventures, ce manuscrit fût exposé pour la première fois en 2004 à la Fondation Martin Bodmer, près de Genève en Suisse. En 2014, Gérard Lhéritier, fondateur d'"Aristphil" rachète le manuscrit pour la somme de 7 millions d'euros avec comme projet de l'offrir à la BNF en 2019 ! Voici pour la "petite histoire", mais revenons à notre édition, imprimée à Bruxelles, ville de la contre-façon et sans éditeur ! En comparant cette édition "anonyme" (format, typographie, mise en page, etc…) et celle de Jean-Jacques Pauvert de "l'histoire de Juliette" parue en 1949; on peut voir une similitude évidente !! Il existe d'ailleurs une édition estampillée Pauvert en 1953 en 3 volumes ! A voir. RARE. Très bon état du papier; les couvertures sont légèrement défraîchie, mais sans manque

Les eaux-fortes en couleurs sont comprises dans la pagination, dans le texte (vignettes à 1/2 ou 1/3 de page ou à pleine page). Exemplaire à l'état proche du neuf. Édition originale et unique édition de ce texte pornographique. Tirage à 375 exemplaires. Celui-ci 1 des exemplaires sur Rives non numéroté (exemplaire de passe) comportant en plus 2 états du frontispice en noir (morsures différentes), 4 épreuves en noir (morsures différentes de celles tirées dans le texte), 2 épreuves identiques totalement inédites (non tirées dans le texte). Références : Dutel, Bibliographie des ouvrages érotiques publiés en français entre 1920 et 1970, n°1454 ; Pia, Les Livres de l’Enfer, 404. Ce roman est celui de l'initiation de Minouche, une jeune vierge, par un vieux faune ardent Stro. Minouche s'initie petit à petit, au fil des pages, à tous les plaisirs de la chair ... de spasmes en spasmes ... Personne, semble-t-il, n'a réussi à mettre un nom sur le pseudonyme "De Voulonges" de l'auteur ni identifier la jolie main de l'artiste-illustrateur tout à fait remarquable tout au long des 26 eaux-fortes en couleurs qui ornent ce délicieux volume. Ce volume publié clandestinement, est une vraie réussite érotico-bibliophilique. Bel exemplaire avec gravures ajoutées.
