Mulliken Jr. 1922-2004 a Dartmouth graduate and WW2 tank commander with literary aspirations a letter with writing advice from legendary editor Max Perkins to young G.I. Mulliken appears in "The Letters of Maxwell E. Perkins" who became a journalist for "Life" and "Time" magazines among others then Deputy Press Secretary for Vice President Nelson Rockefeller in the mid-1970s; above this his future wife Barbara Hanschen from whom he got the book signs and dates it February 1947 the month of its publication.
