This work aroused considerable controversy because Sombart wrote that the Jews were the principal cause of the disruption of the medieval economic system and its replacement by capitalism. The Jews, he said, undermined the guilds and promoted international trade which lead to capitalism. Sombart's work was later cited as a primary influence on Nazi anti-Semitic propaganda because "he stressed the incompatibility of Jewish commercialism with the spirit of the 'nordic farmer'" and in his 1934 work Deutscher Sozialismus he favored Nazi policies that excluded Jews from economic and cultural life (EJ) . The Verein für Deutsche Kulturbeziehungen im Ausland,abbreviated VDA, is a German cultural organisation. During the Nazi era it wasengaged in spying across the whole world, using German minorities living inother countries. The American Service Press Sheet issue nr 1, entitled Propaganda against Bluff. Possibly the only issue of this propaganda sheet printed in Berlin. The English and German columns are written by German-Americans who returned to Nazi Germany; overall, the broadsheet attempts to confer a pluralistic legitimacy upon Nazi Germany, by emphasizing that Germans have a special culture and tradition, and thus argues for an American pacifist and potential pro-nazi political line. The English section was written by an unknown author, who states in his editorial Let us be friends!- that he lived in the United States for 12 years, and that American democracy, though the best for its people, is rife with contradictions, as opposed to Nazi Germany, that of a strong state with supposedly no corruption; the author also mentions his thanks for being friends with so many different northern European peoples while living in America, and generally utilizes the discourse of a liberal, anti-discrimination perspective from the new deal era and grafts it onto the German-American experience, allowing the author to produce various subtle lies such as the immense importance of German-Americans to American culture, the overwhelming amount of German-American farmers, etc. The author of the English section only once points out that his enemy is the jew, and only once proclaims himself a national socialist; overall, a very strange and alarming work of propaganda produced in Berlin, custom-tailored for a pro-nazi and gullible liberal pacifist audience alike. Possibly a work of the Intelligence agency of the SS; undoubtedly distributed on the East coast by pro-nazi Germans. Subjects: NASDAP. Anti-semitism. Propaganda. Not listed on OCLC. Born in Galicia, Sonne studied at Swiss and Italian universities and at the Collegio Rabbinico in Florence, where he later became a lecturer in Talmud, philosophy, and Jewish history after having taught at the Hebrew high school in Lodz. In Florence he also taught German in a state high school and worked in the libraries and archives of the Jewish communities in Italy. From 1936 to 1939 he headed the rabbinical seminary in Rhodes, and in 1940 became lecturer and librarian at Hebrew Union College, Cincinnati. (2008 JE) . It follows the story of King Oedipus of Thebes as he discovers that he has unwittingly killed his own father, Laius, and married his own mother, Jocasta. Over the centuries, it has come to be regarded by many as the Greek tragedy par excellence and certainly as the summit of Sophocles achievements. The tragedy was translated by the Hebrew Zionist poet and fathers of modern Hebrew poetry, Shaul Tchernichowsky. He was fluent in many languages including Latin and Greek and he translated into Hebrew Homers Iliad and the Odyssey as Shakespeares Twelfth night and Macbeth (Wiki, 2016) . Today the SAJBD [South African Jewish Board of Deputies] represents nearly all of the Jewish community institutions and synagogues, works as a watchdog against anti-Semitic articles in the media, examines legislation concerning the Jewish community and maintains contact with Diaspora communities world-wide, as well other political and religious organizations in South Africa.
