unknown 1915. Near Fine. 5 typescript leaves in blue folded cover stamped "May 17 1915." Charles Muehlhauser died intestate on Dec. 24 1874 leaving his widow Mary Muehlhauser and seven children. Mary Muehlhauser died on 3 April 1915 and by this document her remaining heirs released the dower righst to four tracts of land in Upper Salford Township Montgomery County Pa. to Jacob B. Kline. Signed on May 15 1915 by Hattie R. Reiff Allen G. Reiff William F. Dannehower William F. Muehlhauser Alfred F. Muehlhauser Morris F. Muehlhauser William D. Rowland Katharine H. Fox and T. Darl Buckwalter. Embossed stamp of Katherine H. Fox the notary public on the last leaf. In Near Fine Condition: very slightly soiled.

Reproduced by College Offset Press Philadelphia. No date of publication; the recipe for Great Grandmother's Suet Pudding p. 86 has the dates 1810 and 1948 next to it. The recipes are all reproduced in script rather than type. Includes the poem "Daily Bread" by Frances M. Kensill and advertisements for local businesses including Ruth Welles' show on KYW and a seller of Trixy foundation garments. Recipes include: clam pie; noodles with Italian sauce; chicken mousse; 2 versions of barbecued franks neither of which involves barbecue and one of which includes lima beans; chow mein; Arizona onions a "salad"; vinegar dressing for dandelion salad; Minnehaha cake; Poor Man's fruit cake butterless eggless milkless; Dutch cake; angel pie; flapper's pudding; and sailors duff. The Deportation of Women and Girls from Lille

"Translated textually from the Note addressed by the French Government to the Governments of Neutral Powers on the conduct of the German Authorities towards the population of the French Departments in the occupation of the enemy. With extracts from other documents annexed to the note relating to German branches of international law during 1914 1915 1916." Brown speckled paper over boards with title printed in black on spine and front cover. Bookplate of Washington County Historical Society on front fixed endpaper indicating that the book was given to the Society by Sir Gilbert Parker on Jan. 26 1917. Parker had headed Britain's propaganda efforts in the United States since 1914. Eight days after Parker gave this book to the Washington County Historical Society President Woodrow Wilson severed diplomatic ties with Germany and Parker resigned as head of propaganda in the United States feeling that his work was done. Shelf number in ink at head of front cover and front free endpaper. Additonal bookplate for Washington County Historical Society on back fixed endpaper. The documents reproduced here relate to Germany deporting over 20000 civilian women and teenagers from Lille and environs and making them into forced agricultural laborers in April 1916.
