br. In una piccola contrada chiamata Valle Dorata, situata a ridosso delle bellissime montagne delle Alpi Graie, vivevano due anziani coniugi che si chiamavano: Casimiro e Beniamina. Essi erano sposati da tantissimi anni e vivevano sereni e felici, anche se il loro matrimonio non era stato allietato dalla presenza di qualche figlio. brossura "Morire e rinascere" narra la storia di un uomo, Frank Pumoni, che un giorno si vede recapitare un pacco contenente alcuni scritti che metteranno in crisi la sua identità, coinvolgendolo in scelte dalle quali possono dipendere le sorti dell'intera umanità ma sulla cui veridicità nutre forti dubbi. Per chiarire questi dubbi decide di divulgare in internet il contenuto degli scritti aspettandosi che i protagonisti delle vicende che vi sono narrate si facciano vivi e gli svelino la verità altrimenti sarà costretto a mettere alla prova il suo coraggio e tentare una via che potrebbe essere senza ritorno.

Banditi a Partinico
br. Danilo Dolci, triestino, si trasferì in Sicilia agli inizi degli anni Cinquanta. Voleva partecipare in prima persona alla rinascita del Meridione. Partì, solo, per Trappeto e Partinico, scoprì una miseria impensabile, una desolazione, un abbrutimento, una ignoranza che facevano dubitare di stare in Italia. Stava in mezzo alla gente, la intervistava, la coinvolgeva: fu il primo in Italia a praticare il digiuno per richiamare l'attenzione dell'opinione pubblica e inventò "lo sciopero alla rovescia", che consisteva nel lavorare volontariamente là dove lo Stato era inerte. Così venne riattivata una strada comunale abbandonata. Ma le autorità ritennero che in tale comportamento si configurasse un reato, quello di invasione di proprietà altrui. Per questo Dolci fu arrestato e detenuto per 50 giorni, condotto in manette al processo, e condannato. Per lui si mobilitarono intellettuali come Carlo Levi, Elio Vittorini, Ignazio Silone, Aldo Capitini, Giulio Einaudi e a difenderlo in tribunale fu Piero Calamandrei. In carcere Dolci fu a stretto contatto con tanti poveracci e fu fra i primi a comprendere che la propensione alle attività criminali proprio in quei tenitori che erano dominati dalla mafia, non poteva essere vinta puntando esclusivamente sulla repressione. Bisognava invece creare opportunità di lavoro. Con questo libro Dolci voleva far conoscere a tutti le condizioni in cui versava la popolazione di quella terra di banditi, cioè di esclusi dalla società.

br. Paola è una ragazza dominante, spregiudicata, dai sentimenti complessi. Dopo la laurea in ingegneria sente progressivamente emergere i fantasmi della propria adolescenza: le molestie, le violenze, gli abbandoni. Da quel momento la mente deraglia e i suoi pensieri si schiantano contro il mondo esterno. La diagnosi clinica è precisa: «assenza di controllo degli impulsi e depressione maggiore». Questo libro è la cronaca di un salto nel vuoto, dove si alternano esperienza e rielaborazione inconscia di quella esperienza, e la realtà dei fatti è sempre in bilico fra verità e menzogna. In preda a un dolore che erode i nervi, Paola percorre il labirinto della psicanalisi affidandosi alla guida di un terapeuta paziente e fedele, che la salva dai tentativi di suicidio. Da lì si snoda un percorso tortuoso verso la guarigione, raccontato con uno stile ipnotico e potente, sospeso tra prosa e poesia. Postfazione di Marco Giovenale.
