Ausstellungsverzeichnis mit einer Einleitung von Wolfgang Balzer, einer Kurzbiographie und 15 ganzseitigen schwarz-weiss Abbildungen. Beigegeben ist eine illustrierte Original-Einladung (4 S.) zur Ausstellungseröffnung der Galerie Nierendorf (Berlin-Charlottenburg) mit Werken von Christian Rohlfs im Jahr 1969. Wie Mueller war auch Rohlfs mit dem Expressionismus assoziiert und ist seine Kunst von den Nationalsozialisten als "entartet" diffamiert worden.

Il loro percorso apparirà come quello di mille rivi di sangue trasparente che vanno incontro al niente, per diventar l'immenso... ma solo colui che si è posto la domanda potrà darci "la risposta".

brossura Nella famiglia di Lania, la nonna rappresenta il solido fulcro intorno al quale ruota l'asse familiare. Un giorno la donna chiede di poter essere sepolta un domani nella sua terra, ma la faccenda non è così semplice e dà origine a una catena, al limite del comico, fatta di manovre, equivoci, scontri e progetti che terranno tutti occupati per mesi. Eppure, quando sette anni dopo la morte arriva davvero, la macchina organizzativa, così a lungo oliata, s'inceppa via via in modo grottesco e inaspettato. Perché non si tratta di una famiglia qualsiasi ma di esuli fuggiti dalla Bosnia in guerra ed emigrati in Italia negli anni Novanta, che hanno portato con sé un'eredità ricca di memorie e resistenza ma anche il peso di una tragedia taciuta e mai superata. Il ritorno in patria per Lania, sua madre e i suoi due fratelli, al seguito del feretro verso la terra natia, si trasforma così in un viaggio a ritroso nel tempo, costellato di incontri bizzarri e di imprevisti, in una migrazione al contrario che ha come destinazione la riconquista della propria storia e di una nuova vita.

br. Ana, la protagonista di questa vicenda, è un'adolescente moldova catapultata in Italia che improvvisamente si rende conto di non sapersi esprimere totalmente né in italiano né in moldavo. "C'è un detto secondo cui un uomo che parla due lingue vale due uomini. E quello che parla metà di una e metà di un'altra, vale un uomo? O ne vale mezzo?", si chiede Ana, un'adolescente moldova catapultata in Italia, nel momento in cui si rende conto di non sapersi esprimere totalmente né in italiano né in moldavo. Protagonista di questo libro è la lingua con il suo potere evocativo e al contempo alienante; la lingua che accoglie e respinge. L'incapacità di esprimersi si tramuta in difficoltà di esistere, ma con la possibilità di reinventarsi. Ana vive passo dopo passo il doloroso passaggio da una lingua all'altra, che non è un semplice cambio di simboli e significati, ma è una ricerca emozionale tra le ibridazioni dell'Io. "Forse non parlare e non capire una lingua è un po' come perdere uno dei cinque sensi. O forse, più probabilmente, è come perdere un pochino di ogni senso. Come se la realtà fosse percepita solo a metà e il resto andasse perso nella confusione. Inoltre, il mio non voler parlare era anche il mio non voler vivere qui, non volermi interessare di nulla e lasciare che il mondo se ne andasse per i fatti suoi, senza che io ne dovessi fare parte...". "Crescere sradicati, in un altro Paese, alieno, in una lingua sconosciuta, più che problemi umani provoca problemi sovrumani".

br. "Faccio il sensale nel ramo del caffè, e abito in Lauriergracht n. 37". Con questo prosaico quanto memorabile incipit si apre il più grande classico della letteratura nederlandese, pubblicato nel 1860 esplodendo come una duplice bomba: come capolavoro letterario e come atto di accusa sociale. "Il libro che ha ucciso il colonialismo", sarà definito, e resta un'opera di sconvolgente modernità sia per la raffinata struttura narrativa, sia per la forza della denuncia dei misfatti di cui è costellata la storia dell'imperialismo occidentale. Chi parla è Batavus Droogstoppel, l'irresistibile affarista che incarna, col suo assoluto perbenismo, il reale cinismo e l'ipocrisia di un'Olanda troppo intenta a fare soldi per chiedersi da dove venga il suo benessere. Colpito dall'interesse di un fascio di manoscritti che si è trovato suo malgrado tra le mani, il buon sensale intende trarne un utile trattatello sulle aste del caffè nelle Indie Olandesi, ma è tutt'altro materiale che ne vedrà estrapolato, affidando la stesura al giovane Stern, romantico figlio di un ambito cliente tedesco, di ben diversa sensibilità. È la ricostruzione della vita di Max Havelaar, coraggioso e idealista funzionario a Giava, che si illude di riuscire a combattere i soprusi dei potenti locali e la connivenza dell'amministrazione coloniale e di rendere giustizia ai contadini vessati da entrambi.

Tra lavori umilianti, colleghi poco solidali, superiori meschini, coinquilini cialtroni e rari sprazzi di umanità e di amicizia, Ida cerca a fatica di trovare la propria strada, per nulla disposta a rinunciare al suo sogno.
