Coleman Livingston Blease 1868-1942 was a U.S. Senator earlier the Governor of South Carolina when this book was published. He was a notable segregationist and racist who would be defeated for reelection by James Byrnes in 1930. Mild toning to the text; light edge wear; some very minor discoloration to the spine.
