Le texte français [.] publié par la Société de géographie de Paris en 1824 apporte la preuve qu'il s'agit d'une traduction originale. Cette Édition est plus importante que la traduction de Yule-Cordier et se signale par la correspondance et la justesse des noms propres. Contient aussi le texte Latin. Bon exemplaire de cette première édition de l’un des livres qui ont changé le monde. First edition of this monumental work. Die langen Schöße hingen wie Flügel rechts und links an den Seiten des Pferdes hernieder. Auf dem Kopf saß ein riesiger schwarzer Amazonenhut, den eine gelbgefärbte echte Straußenfeder schmückte.
