Ora il quadro offerto oltrepassa i confini dell'Isola e si allarga all'intero territorio nazionale. La pianificazione che sta dietro i rapimenti a scopo di estorsione, la quantità di denaro che intorno a questi si muove, la frequenza con cui da un certo momento in poi sono stati attuati, parlano di una vera e propria «industria del sequestro».
