‎Reinhard Heydrich. The Biography. Volume I: Road to War [with] Volume 2: Enigma. COMPLETE SET‎

‎2 vols., roy. 8vo., First Edition, with very numerous photographs (a number full-page) throughout; original pictorial boards, a near fine set. The set comprises Vol. I: Road to War; Vol. II: Enigma. Ten years in the making, this comprehensive study chronicles the life of Reinhard Heydrich, Hitler's probable heir apparent. This extraordinary man rose to become second only to Himmler within the SS, controlling the entire Security Service through a career of controversy which continues to this day. He was considered so dangerous that the British had him assassinated. Volume 1 details Heydrich's life from birth to the outbreak of WWII; Volume 2 covers Heydrich's involvement in the Jewish question, the Wannsee Conference, his posting as Acting Reichsprotector for Bohemia-Moravia, his assassination in 1942, his State Funeral, and the precarious life of his wife Lina and their family until her death in 1985. A major feature of this work is the unique collection of over 700 photographs, many never seen before, assembled by the authors during a decade of intensive research. Already very scarce.‎

‎HENRY FORD'S WAR ON JEWS AND THE LEGAL BATTLE AGAINST HATE SPEECH‎

‎Hardcover. 8vo. XV, 408 pages. 24 cm. First edition. "Henry Ford is remembered in American lore as the ultimate entrepreneur-the man who invented assembly-line manufacturing and made automobiles affordable. Largely forgotten is his side career as a publisher of antisemitic propaganda. This is the story of Ford's ownership of the Dearborn Independent, his involvement in the defamatory articles it ran, and the two Jewish lawyers, Aaron Sapiro and Louis Marshall, who each tried to stop Ford's war. In 1927, the case of Sapiro v. Ford transfixed the nation. In order to end the embarrassing litigation, Ford apologized for the one thing he would never have lost on in court: the offense of hate speech. Using never-before-discovered evidence from archives and private family collections, this study reveals the depth of Ford's involvement in every aspect of this case and explains why Jewish civil rights lawyers and religious leaders were deeply divided over how to handle Ford"-Provided by publisher. Subjects: Trials (Libel) - Michigan - Detroit. Anti-Jewish propaganda - United States - History - 20th century. Antisemitism - United States - History - 20th century. Hate speech - United States - History - 20th century. Ford, Henry, 1863-1947 - Trials, litigation, etc. Sapiro, Aaron - Trials, litigation, etc. Dearborn independent. Brand New. (HOLO2-104-5)‎

‎HITLER AGAINST THE WORLD: THE WORLD AGAINST HITLER, THE NUREMBERG FASCIST PARTY UNMASKED‎

‎1st edition. Original illustrated paper wrappers. 8vo, 46+1 pages. Early Nazi period (1935) discussion of the 7th National Socialist Reichsparteitag [Nazi Party Day] in Nuremberg. "It is not only that the internal policies of the Hitler regime, the suppression of all labor organizations, the murderous terror against the revolutionary and progressive workers, the persecution of Jews, Catholics and Protestants, outrage the sense of fairness and justice of all victims of exploitation, of all liberty-loving people. The latest Nazi atrocity, as this pamphlet goes to press, is the beheading of Rudolph Claus for the 'crime' of acting as treasurer of an organization which attempted to provide some measure of defense to anti-fascists facing trial, and financial assistance to imprisoned victims of fascism and their families…. The answer to the war program of the fascist incendiaries lies in the united action of the toiling masses, of all peace-loving people in this country as throughout the world. The answer to 'Hitler against the world' must be 'the world against Hitler'. This is the only way to prevent a new world war" (From the introduction, ) Subjects: National socialism.
