Erinnerung". - Theo Lingen wurde nach einer langen Bühnenlaufbahn 1946 österreichischer Staatsbürger, ließ sich 1948 in Wien nieder, wurde Mitglied des Burgtheaters und gastierte an deutschsprachigen Bühnen in Deutschland und der Schweiz. Seine größte Popularität aber sicherte sich der Schauspieler durch Auftritte in über 150 Filmen; daneben war er als Regisseur tätig, schrieb Lustspiele und Autobiographisches (‘Ich über mich’, 1963; ‘Ich bewundere’, 1969, und ‘Das kann doch nicht wahr sein’, 1974).
