After graduation from Robert College he accepted Bachelor's and master's degrees at Architecture in Yale. He returned to Robert College in 1968 and became its first president when it was converted to a state university by Turkish authorities. This document includes a letter stating that the Ministry of National Education has been applied and approved for a raise in the salaries of university employees.‎
