Album a tiratura limitata, esemplare numerato "Il a été tiré de cet album deux mille exemplaires numérotés de I a 2.000 / Exemplaire N° 1418". "Cet album a été achevé d'imprimer sous la direction artistique de Boris Kochno le 3 décembre 1945 a l'occasion des trois soirées organisées par l'UNION NATIONALE DES INTELLECTUELS sous le patronage de M. Jaujard". Stato di conservazione: La copertina (con la stampa litografica a colori di Bérard) presenta alcune pieghe (sul piatto antreiore, vicino al dorso, sulle estremità e sugli angoli e sulla linguetta anteriore sulla quale è stampata la giustificazione della tiratura), e qualche piccola macchiolina marrone; una leggera (e appena accennata) incurvatura (verso l'alto) del margine inferiore dell'album ma, nel complesso, un buon esemplare. Completo. Privo di scritte o firme dìappartenenza. Bellissime le tavole (per lo più a piena pagina). Edizione originale. Opera di prestigio, da collezione.‎

‎De westerse media noemden het hoopvol 'de Arabische Lente', want eindelijk ging het met het Midden-Oosten de goede kant uit. De regio stond op de drempel van de democratie en zou het extremisme goeddeels naar de geschiedenisboeken verbannen. Maar niet iedereen was overtuigd van de goede afloop. Alleen was die visie taboe en bleven we langer geloven in het sprookje dan goed was. Gebeurtenissen werden verzwegen of opgeklopt, gissingen deden zich voor als de waarheid. Een van die fata morgana's, de opstand van het geweldloze volk tegen de brutale verdrukker, vervaagde langzaam maar zeker. De conclusie was ontnuchterend. In de lijn van De Arabische revolutie en van ruim een kwarteeuw verslaggeving over deze roerige regio, rapporteert Jef Lambrecht als een van de zeer weinigen met gepaste afstandelijkheid en onpartijdigheid over de Arabische cocktail. Jef Lambrecht (1948) was van 1978 tot 2010 journalist bij de VRT-radio, gespecialiseerd in het Midden-Oosten. Hij publiceerde eerder IX-XI. Hoe 11 september mogelijk werd (2002), De Zwarte Wieg. Irak, nazi's en neoconservatieven (2003), De heilige wereldoorlog. Halfweg de kruistocht tegen het moslimterrorisme (2009). De Arabische cocktail is daar het vervolg op.‎
