Grauer labels the LP "a first audition never previously released" and states in his liner notes that "as a book collector himself he feels a spoken word first audition deserves a place alongside the author's first editions". Omarr liked to surround himself with beautiful women and was the personal adviser to Jayne Mansfield Rita Hayworth Kim Novak and Mae West among others. Omarr wrote a book on Miller Henry Miller: His World of Urania and Miller wrote the introduction to Sydney Omarr's Astrological Guide to 1973 and the liner notes to the record album Presenting Sydney Omarr. Concurrently he founded Consolidated Press Service and worked there as a journalist from 1920-1933 when he joined the New York Sun as chief foreign correspondent. Forced to flee France after the Nazi invasion he wrote articles warning of war. After WWII he moved to Tangier and was the editor of the Tangier Gazette.<br /> <br> <br /> <br> <br /> This title was among Bird's private collection having been carted by him from Paris where he stayed until 1940 to Spain Tangiers and finally back to Paris and by descent to the US. 1403263. Big Sur: December 21 1975. 3 pp. annotated typed letter indicated as "2nd carbon" with manuscript annotations in ink and initialed at the end by Miller. This is à propos of the English language edition of Brassaï since Miller could not read French well and the errors he mentions were repeated from the French edition of earlier in 1975.". . . am amazed at all the errors I have come across . . ." Among Brassaï's errors are: wrong last name for Anais Nin's married name Miller's notion of "regression" Miller's style why Miller moved to Clichy and where he lived Celine Miller's essay on D.H.
