Rachele Bianchi. Armonie Emotive
Cerrina: Verso l'Arte Edizioni 2011. Milano Biblioteca Nazionale Braidense 2011. Cerrina 2011; br. pp. 96 ill. col. cm 21x29. Grandi Mostre. Verso l'Arte Edizioni unknown

Claudio Parmiggiani. Petrolio
Milano: Edizioni Charta 2009. Milano Claudia Gian Ferrari Arte Conemporanea 19 gennaio - 10 marzo 2009. Testi di Luca Massimo Barbero. Testo Italiano e Inglese. Milano 2009; ril. pp. 80 19 ill. b/n e col. cm 25x275. "The image of darkness is a frequent presence perhaps it is one of the most insistent in my work . it is like a doubt insinuated to the eye of the beholder . Birth and death are linked to darkness which is the hidden place where images and ideas take shape. It is the first mirror image of men . the metaphor of the end of nothingness and nothingness is the only star." With these words Parmiggiani explains his relationship with darkness a symbolic constant through all his research. His works are created with a passage of fire-destructive but lively vibrant violent-which leaves unchangeable traces of mystery and anguish after passing. Time leaves its traces: signs of memories remains of dust and rests of shapes are the core of a melancholic nostalgia aware of a completeness lost forever of which there are only vestiges. There is something magical-like Vulcan's cavern-as well as prodigious in setting the unpredictable paths of smoke and ash through which Parmiggiani challenges destruction with memory. Da Kandinsky a Pollock. La grande arte dei Guggenheim
Venezia: Marsilio 2016. Grey/color-illus. wraps; white lettering on grey spine. Acetate half wrapper with white lettering. Text in Italian. Catalogue from the exhibition held at Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi Firenze 19 March - 24 July 2016. Curated by Luca Massimo Barbero the exhibition - the result of a cooperative venture involving the Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation in New York - offered visitors a unique opportunity to compare and contrast the crucial work of European masters of modern art such as Marcel Duchamp Max Ernst Man Ray and Pablo Picasso and European masters of so-called Art Informel or "Unformed Art" such as Alberto Burri Emilio Vedova Jean Dubuffet Lucio Fontana with large paintings and sculptures by some of the most important personalities on the American art scene in the 1950s and 1960s such as Jackson Pollock Mark Rothko Willem de Kooning Alexander Calder Roy Lichtenstein and Cy Twombly. Devoting an exhibition to the Guggenheim collections means telling the fast-paced story of the birth of the Neo-Avant-Garde movements after World War II in a tight and uninterrupted interplay between European and American artists. But producing such an exceptional exhibition in Florence also means celebrating a very special tie that goes back a long way because it was precisely in the Palazzo Strozzi's Strozzina undercroft that Peggy Guggenheim who had only recently arrived in Europe decided in February 1949 to show the collection that was later to find a permanent home in Venice. The large paintings sculptures engravings and photographs on display at Palazzo Strozzi on loan from the Guggenheim collections in New York and Venice and from other leading international museums paint a vast fresco of the extraordinarily heady season of 20th century art in which Peggy and Solomon Guggenheim played such a key role. - from the Palazzo Strozzi web site. I Giganti dell'Avanguardia. Mir Mondrian Calder e le Collezioni Guggenheim
Cinisello Balsamo: Silvana Editoriale 2012. Vercelli Arca di Vercelli Chiesa di San Marco 3 marzo - 10 giugno 2012. A cura di Luca Massimo Barbero. Cinisello Balsamo 2012; br. pp. 144 80 ill. e tavv. b/n e col. cm 245x26. Silvana Editoriale unknown

LUCIO FONTANA 1946-1960. ZEICHEN UND ZEICHNUNGEN
Appenzell Ausst'publikation Museum Liner 2009. Broschiert kartonniert 200 x 255mm. 172 S. mit 144 84 farb. Abbildungen. ISBN 9783906966144. The catalogue published in collaboration with the Museo dArte Mendrisio with the Fondazione Lucio Fontana in Milano places Lucio Fontana's 1899-1968 graphic painted and plastique work for the first time in a comprehensive conceptual context. The precise selection of works from Fontana's late period 24 works on canvas 8 plastiques 49 works on paper an installation completed by historic documentations presents the artist as a pioneer of space-oriented and performative art. Luigi Ontani. MarmArmonia
Milano: Edizioni Charta 2007. Milano Galleria Gian Ferrari 19 aprile - 27 luglio 2007. Testi di Claudia Gian Ferrari Luca Massimo Barbero. Testo Italiano e Inglese. Milano 2007; cartonato pp. 101 ill. col. cm 15x22. Reviewing Luigi Ontani's recent New York retrospective at P.S. 1 for Artforum Brooks Adams wrote "Luigi Ontani is that rare bird of art: an unforgettable face a world-class dandy and a redoubtable if lovably eccentric presence on the international art-world circuit Ontani's work makes his own self-portrait-as-androgyne central to the myth of all creation: This is narcissism transformed into a powerful-and redemptive-force of nature a kind of male fecundity." Marbleharmony documents new sculptural works that Ontani produced for his 2007 exhibition at the historically important Gallery Gian Ferrari in Milan. Its title borrows from one of the key pieces in the show a marble sculptural portrait of artist sitting on a book with another in his hand and a rainbow surrounding him from behind. Ontani was born in Vergato Italy in 1943. He has been considered one of Italy's most important artists since the 1970s. His work was most recently shown at Bortolami Gallery New York. Rotella. Playing Artypo. Ed. Italiana e Inglese
Milano: Skira 2008. Porto Cervo MDM Museum 13 giugno - 21 settembre 2008. A cura di Luca Massimo Barbero. Testo Italiano e Inglese. Milano 2008; br. pp. 272 ill. b/n 93 tavv. col. cm 24x28. Catalogue from the exhibition held in Venice 12 November 2016 - 13 March 2017. "More than sixty years after his show at Palazzo Venier dei Leoni 1954 Tancredi returns to the Peggy Guggenheim Collection his reputation now beyond question with remarkable paintings that re-create step by step in intimate galleries between creative fury and lyrical expressionism the brief but meteoric trajectory of this great postwar painter." - Mazzoleniart. "A complete and sumptuous survey of the brief but dazzling career of this great protagonist of Italian art. An extraordinary selection of works and a lavish set of illustrations reconstruct in an intimate and thorough way the brief but dazzling trajectory between creative output and unbridled emotion followed by Tancredi Parmeggiani a great exponent of postwar Italian art. From his academic debut to the lyrical colorism of the early days and from the experimentation typical of nonrepresentational spatialism to his period of gestural abstractionism culminating in the visionary aesthetics of the sixties and characterized by uneasy and tormented figurations this book reconstructs all the phases of his career." Also sometimes included in the title either as subtitle or main title depending up where you look is "My weapon against the atom bomb is a blade of grass." Text in English.
