Pages adjacent to plates with no tissue guard about half are browned; nearly all plates are free of foxing or have only unobtrusive foxing. Dampstain at top margin on all plates of vol. 3 and top and outside margins on all plates of vol. 2 not affecting engravings. A complete set with all of the 84 in-text plates called for the tinted folding map of North America in very good condition and 2 of the 3 frontispiece plates lacks the plate of The Pilgrims Embarkening from vol. 1.
