J. Cobden-Sanderson. 250 copies on paper. The final Catalogue Raisonné 1916 states the number of copies is 350 in error Tidcombe. Boards showing some soiling and foxing internally clean bright and free of marks. Without date; on the company's Grafton Street letterhead. Company founded in 1908 by Philip Lee Warner and Eustace Gurney 'to bring artists' work to the appreciation of a wider public'. One page quarto. Folded twice. Good but slightly foxed and lightly creased. The typed message reads ' "The best of Prophets of the future is the Past" With the best of wishes for future success.' A charming anthology of the poetical works of the popular English author Percy Bysshe Shelly husband to author Mary Shelley. A completely unopened copy to the top edge including the title page. Containing numerous poems grouped in five parts selected and arranged by T. J. Cobden-Sanderson who also wrote a prefatory note. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally excellent with some minor shelf wear and a minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. The dust wrapper is unclipped and smart with some shelf wear and chipping and some sunning to the spine. With JDL bookplate to the front pastedown. Internally firmly bound. Translated by Jan Tschichold a German calligrapher typographer and book designer who played a significant role in the development of graphic design in the twentieth century.
