Gli eventi tragici del terzo millennio, dall'attentato dell'11 settembre alla crisi finanziaria, dalle guerre in Medio Oriente ai drammi dell'immigrazione, hanno cambiato sensibilmente il nostro quotidiano e la nostra visione del mondo, costringendoci a un riordino delle idee ed esigendo l'avvento di una nuova modernità. In che modo il cinema ha recepito e sta recependo i cambiamenti a cui è stata soggetta la stessa società occidentale negli ultimi anni? Come si sostanzia nelle opere dei registi contemporanei il rigetto della filosofia postmoderna, che predicava la fine della storia e l'affermazione di una società liquida, e il conseguente avvicinamento a una nuova condizione, neomoderna, che pone la ragione e la verità nuovamente al centro del discorso? Perché l'attacco alle Torri Gemelle di New York nel 2001 costituisce lo spartiacque tra postmodernismo e neomodernismo? A partire da queste domande, nasce e si sviluppa l'analisi dell'Autore, il cui valore risiede nella sua possibilità di lettura multipla e trasversale; cinematografica in primis, ma anche culturale, geopolitica e storica. Il percorso tracciato lungo il cinema del terzo millennio diventa allora un'occasione per comprendere lo spirito del mondo contemporaneo, in cui l'immagine sullo schermo si fa carico di una nuova morale ed è veicolo di contenuti sociali e politici.‎

Several folds and rust marks from the metal fasteners. he typescript includes handwrittencorrections and changes, in particular 25 fully handwritten pages, and additions in the margin on several tens of pages, featuring fully in the version published in 1945 by La Jeune Parque publishers. With L'Intelligence en guerre, writer and literary critic Louis Parrot, a leading figure of the underground press during the Second World War, friend of Eluard, Picasso, and Aragon, identifies a panorama of French resistant thought that does justice to the forgotten Maquis as well as the most emblematic writers of the underground press. he publication, at the end of the war, of this anthology of fighting poets, where the literary chronicle meets the history book, is also a political act committed to the selection of «heroes» of the intellectual resistance and an implicit condemnation of the supporters of the 'wait and see' policy.
