Very Good Turkish Original autograph letter signed (ALS) 'Y. Küm?' sent to his mother from S.S. Tarsus. 21,5x28 cm. In Turkish. Written by a pencil. 1 p. Full. Dated 8-12-1957. He describes his travel route to his mother in Marseilles, to Spain by train, etc. [TRAVEL TO MARSEILLES BY SS TARSUS -EXOCHORDA-] Autograph letter signed 'Y. Küm?'. S / S Tarsus was launched in 1931 by "New York Shipbuilding Co.1" for "American Export linen New York" and was launched under the name SS Exochorda. The ship, which has a capacity of 879 passengers, is 140 meters long and 19 meters wide. Its water section was 8.3 meters. It had 7200 HP steam turbine machine weighing 9298 Groston. Exochorda, previously carrying passengers and cargo, was placed under the order of the United States Land Forces as "Harry E. Lee-AP17" as of 27 December 1940. After being used in logistics services during the Second World War, it was connected to the Toothshipyard in Baltimore on May 9, 1946 and taken out of service. In April 16, 1948, after it's purchased by Turkey, it was named Tarsus by Turkish politician Kasim Gürlek.

Una preziosa porta che introduce a tutta la storia della Cabbala.Per molti lettori, il libro attraverso il quale si sono avvicinati alla mistica ebraica è il trattato di Scholem "Le grandi correnti della mistica ebraica". E lì avranno trovato, nel capitolo sul cabbalista 'Abulafia, la citazione di un testo che racconta il procedere di un'esperienza estatica. Quel testo, che sembra condensare in sé le peculiarità della speculazione cabalisitca, era lo "Sa'are Sedeq. Le porte della giustizia", di cui, fino ad oggi, mancava un'edizione filologica ed era altamente incerta l'attribuzione. Oggi Moshe Idel, che ha occupato il posto di Scholem, presenta questa prima edizione corredata da un vasto commento, proponendone l'attribuzione a un discepolo di 'Abulafia, Rabbi Natan ben Sa'adyah Har'ar.

Very Good Turkish, Ottoman (1500-1928) Original autograph letter signed (ALS) 'Kocaeli meb'usu Safvet'. 22x13,5 cm. In Ottoman script. 1 p. of four pages. Folded. It starts with 'Huve' and date (November, 22, 1926), and 13 lines. Including meeting with Necmeddin Molla [Karatas] who was the chairman of the board of Sirket-i Hayriye and a 'muraqib' report on it. It's written from Kocaeli, when Arikan was a parliamentary from Kocaeli city, (1923-1947). Arikan was a Turkish politician. He was born in Erzincan, Ottoman Empire. In 1910 he graduated from the Military Academy. After a brief service in Yemen, he was appointed to an office work in Istanbul. In 1915 he fought in the Battle of Gully Ravine (Kerevizdere) during the Dardanelles Campaign. Later he also served in the Mesopotamia. After the Ottoman Empire was defeated in World War I, he joined the nationalists in the Turkish War of Independence. He served briefly as the military attache of the newly founded Turkey in Moscow. Beginning by 8 August 1923, he was elected as a MP in the 2nd Parliament of Turkey. He was reelected in the following terms. In the 8th, 9th and the 10th government of Turkey he was the Minister of Education and in the 12th government of Turkey he was the Minister National Defence. Between 1942 and 1944 he was the Turkish ambassador to Germany. He is known as one of the pioneers of the Village Institutes.
