Mit gestochenem Frontispiz "Der betende Mohammedaner", einigen ornamentalen Textvignetten in Holzschnitt sowie einer kleinen Stammtafel zu den Kureisch (Quraisch) in der Vorrede. Hier die von Boysen selbst überarbeitete Ausgabe seiner berühmten und nach, Megerlins, zweiten deutschen Koranübersetzung überhaupt. Zwar entbehrt die Version des Quedlinburger Oberhofpredigers der üblichen Verseinteilung der Suren. Sie gilt aber dennoch als poetischer als Megerlins Übersetzung, die von Goethe sogar regelrecht verrissen wurde, und kommt nach allgemeiner Auffassung "dem arabischen Original in Geist und Form wesentlich näher" (Bobzin ibidem) und fand bereits unter Fachgenossen seiner Zeit Anerkennung. Mit Buchbindermarke auf hinterem Vorsatz (W. Ehlgötz). Einband vorwiegend an den Kanten sowie der Schnitt etwas berieben und minimal lichtrandig, Vorsätze etwas leimschattig und vorderes fliegendes Blatt mit kleinem Namenszug in blauer Tinte, Seiten gering gebräunt und in den Ecken gelegentlich etwas knickspurig, wenige Seiten minimal stock- bzw. fingerfleckig, springende Paginierung zu Beginn von Seite 14 auf Seite 17. Noch immer schönes Exemplar dieses berühmten Werkes.‎
