Henne, Henri.
Rapport sur les fouilles de Tell Edfou (1921-1922). (Fouilles de l'Institut français d'Archéologie orientale du Caire. Rapports préliminaires, I,2).
Royal quarto. Pp. 46. Plus 25 plates. Original thin wrappers, edge frayed, trace of adhesive tape at head of spine. In fine internal condition, preserved entirely in the original state. ~ First edition. Fouilles de l'Institut Francais d'Archéologie Orientale du Caire. Rapports préliminaires, Tome I, 2e partie. This is the first volume, complete in itself, in Henne's 4-volume preliminary reports on Edfu. All appeared as different parts of the yearly Rapports préliminaires in consequent years. Most of the photographic plates are printed in collotype, one of the most accurate and attractive methods of photomechanical tonal printing processes. Highly skilled and expensive process, it cannot produce more than a limited number of impressions. It has been used for single-sheet prints and luxury portfolios, and since the 1950s has been abandoned by all except a few small specialist firms. Beinlich-Seeber 9810 (1).

Sonderdruck aus Jahrbuch für Antike und Christentum, 1964. Alfred Hermann (1904-1967). AEB 64217. ~[Librarium of The Hague offers the largest and finest collection of Egyptological offprint monographs in the rare book market. With the acquisition in recent years of multiple Egyptological libraries (those of Prof. Herman te Velde; Prof. Mathieu Heerma van Voss, Prof. Baudouin van de Walle; Prof. Michel Malaise; Prof. Herman De Meulenaere; Egyptologist Jacobus Visser, and former Trustee of the Egypt Exploration Society, Stewart Dale White), we now hold several thousands of rare offprint monographs which were collected over many years by these scholars. Very limited in number when originally issued and fragile by nature, most are by now practically extinct and the scarce survivors are much sought after. We took upon ourselves to collate, catalogue, and identify each item in accordance with Beinlich-Seeber or Annual Egyptological Bibliography, in the hope that this collection will prove useful for scholars and collectors alike. Your queries are most welcome]
